Q-How does it feel to be part of this unique Pouzza Fest in a city like Montréal?
A-I love Montreal. It's the best. We love playing Pouzza because hanging out in Montreal and shooting the shit with friends, fans, bands, band friends, & strangers rules!
Q-Any bands you won't miss from this great lineup?
A-I'll be at as many shows as I can! I love seeing new bands! But for sure, Direct Hit!, Iron Chic, PUP, Broadway Calls, Flats, Brutal Youth, Dumb Adults, Elder Abuse... I could go on.
Q-Best way to describe your relation with your fan base here in Poutine Land?
A-Well, I'm from Nova Scotia so for some reason the rest of my band thinks I can speak french. They always tell me to talk to someone if they start speaking to us in french, Really, I only know a very little. But to answer your question, Montreal has always been kind to us. I'm just doing up the pre-orders for our new record as we speak and there's quite a few from Montreal/Quebec.
Q-Where do you see the Punk Rock scene in 10 years?
A- Hard to say. I like it where it is. If you like punk music then you seek it out. It was great in the mid 90's when MTV and Much Music exposed a lot of people to the genre but I feel like a lot of kids today are jerks and I don't want them in the scene. So if that were to happen again, I'd start playing jazz. No one seems to be jumping on the jazz wagon.
Q- Quick one in the end, what's your favorite Descendents/ALL song?
A-Too many to choose! I'll say...... Parents. Or Coffee Mug. Parents from when I was younger, Coffee Mug means more to me now that I'm older.
